Women love putting on makeup, but many skip on the concealer! Why? Concealer is one of the important parts of makeup that you should never be without. If you truly understand how to apply it, and which concealer is best for your skin you might not live without it any longer.
Most people do not have perfect skin, or perfect faces. Concealer makeup will help you hide those imperfections. Many people get discouraged when they cannot put it on perfectly. With a few tips, you could be putting your concealer on perfectly and finding the look that you want. Concealer is one of the first things you put on, yet it is one of the things that gives you the “finished” look.
Concealer does not have to be noticeable to people. If you get the right color and shade, than most people will never know you are wearing concealer. You can go for the sheer natural look as long as you match your skin tone properly to the shade you need. If you are seeking the “made-up” look with your concealer, you can accomplish that look, as well.
Shopping for the right concealer depends on the look you are seeking to achieve. If you want an exceptionally natural look, check out the lightweight concealers. A concealer stick should be lightweight yet creamy. It is also perfect for hitting the direct spot you are seeking to cover up. A good concealer is going to be enriched with vitamins, and nearly invisible.
When shopping for the right color, in most cases you would want the concealer to match your skin tone perfectly. You may have to try several before you get the perfect match. If you are looking for something to cover up redness on your face, you will want to find a color-correcting concealer that has a tint of green to it. The green will lighten the redness. If you have ultra light skin, and you get the bluish coloration on your face you will want to get a yellow concealer to off-set the blue. You may need to use a few different concealers depending on what exactly you want to cover up. Under eye concealer should never contain dyes, oils, talc’s, or starch because the skin is most sensitive around the eyes.
If you already have your makeup on, but you all of a sudden notice a blemish, or imperfection and you want to cover it up without taking the other makeup off, you may want to consider a brush-on concealer. These are usually light, but will rescue you and cover up any and all imperfections when you need it most.
The best way to apply makeup concealer is to dot it on and then just blend it. You can use your finger or a dry makeup sponge. It is OK to dot concealer over foundation but before powder. Make sure you are using the right color combinations because if you use the wrong colors yo u could enhance your blemishes instead of hiding them.
Once you understand the different color combinations, or which concealer is going to work best for you, you will be a pro at hiding any imperfections. Concealer to many people is a saving grace. Whether they use it daily, or only when they certainly need it.
